PlasticPlace offers financial incentives by sponsoring a scholarship to help you pay for school and fund your dreams. We recognize the importance of diversity on college campuses and in the business sector, and we are committed to encouraging minority and female students to succeed in their entrepreneurial endeavors. To that end, we have created The PlasticPlace Young Entrepreneurs Scholarship for students who have the aptitude to become America’s future entrepreneurs —primarily those who belong to any underrepresented minority demographic.
The PlasticPlace Young Entrepreneurs scholarship is awarded to select applicants with strong academic credentials pursuing a degree in business, economics, organizational management, or another business-related field, to develop talented minority youth and help prepare them for a successful career in the private sector.
Winning the award will require some work on your part. If you’re a sound writer with admirable grades, tenacity, and innovative ideas for products and services, our scholarship essay contest could be a great option for you.
We ask that you produce a thoughtful, well-written essay on the topic listed below to enter into the contest. The winning essay will be chosen on the basis of quality of research, originality, and presentation.
Incoming students for the 2017 semester, who are US citizens. Preference will be given to applicants who are female, or belong to any minority group, including; African American, Asian American, Native American, Hispanic, etc.
The scholarship will be payable to the winner’s college/university (in the US).
Scholarship awarded to students with an average SAT score of 1070 and an average GPA of 3.5 or above.
Winners are not based on financial need.
Homeschooled students may apply as long as academic level is equivalent to that of their peers.
The scholarship is paid directly to the educational institution in the student’s account to be used for tuition for the spring 2017 semester. The scholarship funds may be used over a period not to exceed four (4) years.
